This long night shall not last forever,
To it there will come an end;
You need not fear, this too shall pass,
Although you can't see around the bend.
It seems like there's no end to problems,
And the pain will not subside;
Trials and tears seem never ending,
And you feel there's no place to hide.
But turn to God, the One who cares,
He knows the reasons why;
Though this hard way is the path for you,
On Him you can fully rely.
Do not let go of His mighty hand,
And keep His name on your lips;
For though the way is painful and hard,
He'll never let you slip.
