Some day from Heaven's splendor,
I'll look back on my life,
And see how Jesus led me
Through all my trials and strife.
I'll see how each problem was sent,
To strengthen and encourage me;
To show how my Heavenly Father
Was all that He claimed to be.
I'll see how He eased each burden,
How He lightened each heavy load;
How He held me in the palm of His hand,
As His mercy to me He showed.
I'll see how the painful purging,
Was needful for my life;
How it yielded fruit for my Lord,
With each cut from that spiritual knife.
I'll see how He guided my steps,
Through the valleys and the storms;
For He wanted to give me His best,
And that included each rock and thorn.
Each valley, storm and thistle,
Was sent to raise my eyes,
To the One who loved me dearly,
And wanted me on Him to rely.
And so I would be a witness,
To all who were watching me;
That through the storms of my life,
They would a mighty God see.
So some day from Heaven's splendor,
My heart will be at rest;
And I'll thank God for all eternity
For each trial and each test.
And so I would be a witness,
To all who were watching me;
That through the storms of my life,
They would a mighty God see.
So some day from Heaven's splendor,
My heart will be at rest;
And I'll thank God for all eternity
For each trial and each test.
