God uses the simple things;
Items that of themselves,
No glory could possibly bring.
A little stone lay in a brook,
Just a simple little rock;
Yet thrown in faith it killed a giant,
Who dared God's Armies to mock.
Just a simple shepherd's rod,
Made from common wood;
But when raised in faith by Moses,
It became an instrument of good.
There was a young lad's lunch,
Just some fishes and bread;
But when unselfishly shared,
Over five-thousand were fed.
Some dirt from the ground,
Applied by the Master's hand;
Brought sight to the blind,
By the Lord's command.
Cut down, then shaped,
And raised to the sky once more;
The King of all Kings,
Was the burden the cross bore.
Simple things, yet mighty,
When God has control;
Just think what could happen,
If you gave Him body and soul!
