The Greatest Friend

You are the greatest friend,

You're never far away;

Wherever life may take me,

You by my side will stay.

You know how overwhelmed I get,

With burdens every day;

Yet so lovingly you wait,

To wipe my tears away.

You know my deepest thoughts,

Hear everything I say;

And yet, despite it all,

You love me anyway!

You feel my hurt and pain,

And disappointments too;

Yet You desire through all of this,

That I would turn to You.

You are the greatest friend,

That I will ever meet;

Someday I'll kneel in Glory,

Before Your blessed feet.
