Reality

Reality is a mystery,
Draped in the mist of time;
It echo's down the forgotten past,
And reaches the future sublime.
It takes the best it remembers,
And adds a wishful thought;
Of all that we have that is tangible,
And what is earnestly sought.
It creates an unique Utopia,
Which is neither fashioned or made;
And enslaves a desire insatiable,
Of all that is intensely craved.
It is its own cruel master,
Unable to turn around;
It's course is imprinted in stone,
To which its eternally bound.
So we must learn to live,
The way reality commands;
Though our was is lost in a fog,
Of something we don't understand.
